Bishop Comboni College-Kambuga wins district Science Fair Competition, Qualifies for regional with three projects.

Bishop Comboni College Kambuga yesterday participated in a heavily contested science fair, hosted by Kihihi High School in Kihihi Town Council, Kanungu District.

Nyaka Vocational School, Nyanga Community School, Kihihi Moslem School, Kirima Community school and Kihihi High School are the schools that participated in yesterday’s event. ‘STEM’ is the way to go was the theme for the day. (STEM-Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)

The coordinator for Science Fare Competitions in Kanungu, Mr. Twehikire Baker who also doubles as the Head Teacher Nyanga Community SS was present. For fairness during adjudication, there were three judges each marking out of 100, average score is what was later considered.

The overall winner in physics was Bishop Comboni College-Kambuga whose Plastic Pavers Project got a 75% average score. In the same category, Kihihi High School came next with 72% followed by Nyaka Vocational School with 71%.

Bishop Comboni College-Kambuga will take three projects to regional. (Plastic Pavers Project by Ainembabazi Rinah F3, Ashodent Herbal Jelly by Ansinguza Ronald S3B and Nutritious Juice by Suzan S.2B)

The event (regional competition) will take place on Saturday 16th July 2022 at St Pauls SS, Bukinda.
